
Jazmine is a Philadelphia native is a native of Philadelphia, and was raised there. Pam, her mother is a former back-up singer at Philadelphia International Records. In the year she turned 5 older, her father was offered an appointment as the curator for City's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the historic landmark. In 2005 she graduated from Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in the class of a vocal music major. Sullivan began her singing career as a contralto choir for children, and then after a couple of years, she joined the adult group. Sullivan experienced only a small amount of secular music. She recalls that she was just 11 years old when a person wanted her to sing as a soloist at the church. The singer wasn't enough yet to be ready. In the following year, McDonald's held a contest that was open to children living in cities. I was selected to perform "Accept what God allows" at The show Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. Stevie Wonder sang her part at his 13th birthday. Sullivan aged 15 at the time, signed her first contract with Jive Records. She was signed to Jive Records in the year 15. She recorded an entire album but this album didn't get released. Sullivan was then dropped by the label. The singer maintained a relationship with Missy Elliott who wrote and recorded some of the songs from her debut, including the buzz single "Backstabbers" that was written and produced by Timbaland and written by Elliott.
