Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for 3 years. She managed to make it with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she joined the group called Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she was lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop group. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her debut solo album Diva. It came out in 1992. Commercially and critically it was a huge success. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. This E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish philanthropist political activist and music producer and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when she achieved minor fame as the lead singer in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career with her first album Diva in 1992. It was the basis of many hits songs such as Why andWalking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album contains cover versions of songs like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums, plus one compilation album are the result of her efforts.
